Joseph Robbins was born before 1744.

His children may have included:

Selah Robbins (1773)
John Robbins (married Polly)
Amy Robbins (married John Cain)
Sally Robbins (1777, married Henry Miller)

On March 02, 1786, John Cain (1763) married Amy Robbins in New Bethlehem, Albany Ckounty, New York at the First Presbyterian Church.

In 1786, J. Robbins made a loyalist claim in Albany County New York.

About 1794, they moved to Leeds County, Ontario from New York.

About 1796, Sally Robbins married Henry Miller (1775) in Leeds County, Ontario. The ceremony was performed by Colonel David Breakenridge.

In 1799 they were living in Elizabethtown where Joseph filed a petition regarding unusable land in Yonge.

In 1800 Joseph was not listed in Yonge’s census, but he was listed next to John Robbins and John Cain the Yonge tax assessmnt.

In 1801, Joseph Robbins resided in Yonge.

In 1804, he was over 60 years of age.

In 1808, he was living his son Silah (sic) when they had a "falling out."

In 1811 Joseph lived with a grandson in Young Township.

 
 
 
 

Selah Robbins was born about 1773. He was the son of Joseph Robbins.

His children probably included:

Electa Robbins (1792, married Maurice Austin),
Amy Robbins Johnson (1799),
Selah Robbins, Jr. (1801),
Joseph Robbins (1810), and
Sally Ann Robbins Boyd (1813).

On November 18, 1794, Selah petitioned for land in Canada. He stated that he was from New York and currently living in Leeds County.

Selah was in the 1805 assessment of Yonge Township.

In 1808, the household incuded three males.

In 1811, Selah lived in Yonge with a son and two daughters.

About 1812 Selah and his family, except Electa, crossed the frozen St. Lawrence River to return to the United States.

In June, 1813 they were in New York when Sally was born .

They moved to Venango Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania.

 
 
 
George III ruled Great Britain from October 25, 1760 to January 29, 1820.

John Robbins was born after 1760.

John was in the 1805 assessment of Yonge Township.

During the War of 1812, John was in the first Leeds County militia.

John possessed concession 111 lot 17.

The Court sentence ...John Robins of Yonge to pay a fine of two pounds ... for neglecting to attend his Court as Petit Jurors and the Clerk of the Peace is ordered to make out warrants of distress against goods and cattle and deliver the same to the sheriff.
